WOO-HOO! MT. ST. HELENS IN THE SUNSHINE!

We waited out the morning fog, and look what we found…

  5. I hope you drove up to the top. The view is breathtaking when you are staring right into the mouth of the beast. The viewpoint is built almost where the observer was when it blew. He got the view of a lifetime before he was covered.

  9. Great picture! We visited there three years ago, took a picture right from where you were, except I included more of the observation area -- same log, though! Your picture is composed better than mine, and of course, the sunshine was critical -- and I didn't get it! It was a stormy day, and the sun never came out.

  12. What a wonderful picture. It is so much fun to wait for the fog to clear and get the grand view. We do our fog dance at the Kalalau Lookout in Kauai.
