I hope you drove up to the top. The view is breathtaking when you are staring right into the mouth of the beast. The viewpoint is built almost where the observer was when it blew. He got the view of a lifetime before he was covered.
Great picture! We visited there three years ago, took a picture right from where you were, except I included more of the observation area -- same log, though! Your picture is composed better than mine, and of course, the sunshine was critical -- and I didn't get it! It was a stormy day, and the sun never came out.
