FOODIE FUN IN EUGENE, OREGON
Eugene’s Saturday Market. Music, food vendors and dozens and dozens of arts and crafts vendors (tie-dye, pottery, weaving, jewelry, jams, paintings, t-shirts, hats, woodwork, bird-houses…) fill two blocks. Another block is given over to causes, an information booth, and a public speaking forum. The fourth block is a farmer’s market, full of beautiful foodstuffs and flowers, baked goods, pasture-grown meat, eggs, mushrooms…
How's Odel's knee coming along? I don't hear anything negative so I gather he's just sailing along. Grilled romaine..now that's a new one.
ReplyDeleteThat farmer's market sounds like a blast! Thanks for the Romaine Recipe..I copied it..I love grilled veggies..and I love Sunset Magazine cookbooks...We have even grilled cabbage stuffed with Italian sausage...wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThose vegetables are gorgeous!!! We really don't have a good farmer's market around here anymore...:o((
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love farmers markets...and this looks like a nice one!

Yum! Farmer's markets are so wonderful, and that's one of the cool things about full timing..going to places that have the freshest produce and wonderful local crafts. We lived on California strawberries right from the fields for weeks while we were there...and oranges and raisin, etc. etc. :-)
ReplyDeletelove farmer's markets..great place for delicious deals and a good place to practise photography too!
