Winter Travels Begin
Look at this happy smile! We are in Santa Barbara, walking on the bluffs near the harbor.
Even though the weather looks warm, all of the west was experiencing an unusual chill, and Santa Barbara was no exception. These crazy people in the outrigger were wearing shorts and swimsuits, while we had on sweaters and gloves.
This guy posed at the end of Stearns Wharf, a long pier about mid-way along the lovely, curving beachfront. As I got ready to take this photo, another pelican swooped in so low that I ducked in a panic. They are very bold, fed by fisherfolk and tourists.
After four nights at the Santa Barbara Elks, we pointed Scoopy south to the SKP park at Aguanga... in Riverside County, between Temecula (wine growing region) and Anza Borrego State Park.
