The generator/battery problems sound so fa...Uh Oh! The generator/battery problems sound so familiar. I had many problems until I realized the batteries never actually charged up enough to power much of anything. The people at Lassen replaced my 12 volt batteries with 6 volt batteries - I think I have this straight - the 6 volt are much larger and heavier than the 12V, but held more of a charge for longer. You still have to keep an eagle eye on the battery monitor and turn on the genny while you still have enough power left to start it up. I don't know of a single appliance I could run on battery power alone. If I go back to Lassen next year I will definitely look into some solar panels and all that entails.
